Carbon fiber is a high tech material composed of extremely thin carbon atom fibers. The carbon atoms are bonded together in microscopic crystals that can then be manufactured into carbon fabric. Some of the beneficial properties of carbon fiber are its high tensile strength, thermal resistance and hypersonic reverberation. Until now, the use of carbon fiber in production was restricted primarily to the aerospace, engineering and military industries due to its complexity to manufacture.
